Dr. Laura Sánchez-Romero
Dr. Laura Sánchez-Romero is a postdoctoral researcher specialized in site formation processes, geostatistical analysis, and GIS. Her dissertation focused on the development and application of new methods of spatial analysis techniques in Paleolithic sites, both in caves and open-air localities. She has been awarded with a Lady Davis Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, with the aim of investigating the mobility and settlement patterns of Paleolithic hominid populations in the Armenian Highlands during MIS 3 in the framework of the ERC TransCause project. In addition to this, she is co-PI of the project The Neanderthal habitat in the Altzolaras valley, sites of Amalda and Amalda III (Zestoa) and collaborates in projects in Ethiopia, Turkey, Algeria, Italy and Spain.
